Luna Community College in Las Vegas, N.M., will begin to offer a passenger bus training program in January, in addition to existing programs in commercial driving.
“The passenger bus training program will enable students to obtain employment with any employer that requires a bus training endorsement. ... There is an ongoing need for all classes of commercial drivers in our local area, state and nation,” program administrator Tracy Morales said in a news release.

NNMC invites community To first home Hoops games
Northern New Mexico College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams invite community members to join the Eagles and Lady Eagles for their first home games of the season this week.
“From students, faculty and staff to our sponsors, the entire Northern community is thrilled to support the men’s and women’s basketball teams in this upcoming season,” President Hector Balderas said in a news release.
The Eagles’ first home game begins at 5 p.m. Monday versus New Mexico Highlands University. The Lady Eagles will face Western Colorado University at 6 p.m. Saturday and Highlands at 5 p.m. Nov. 27.
General admission tickets cost $10 per person. They are free for Northern New Mexico College students and staff.
S.F. Community College hosting sculpture sale
Santa Fe Community College’s Art on Campus will host Portals, a pop-up sculpture exhibition and sale featuring explorations in steel, clay, plexiglass and mixed media.
The exhibition will run Nov. 27 to Dec. 15, with an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 30. Admission is free.
